Abstract :
The emergence of the next generation Internet (NGI) is mainly oriented toward a series of serious challenges that cannot be solved through limited improvement under the current network architecture. Therefore NGI means a series of revolutionary changes including the architecture. The fundamental concept of NGI is illustrated and the current situation of the development of NGI is comprehensively discussed in the thesis. And viewpoints on the network architecture, network management and security strategy of NGI are put forward.
