Abstract
This paper presents a kind of investigative method with thermal stability of high-speed permanent magnetic generator through a simplified model employing a air-cooling system. Given the certain circumstance, the losses and air flux is known, it is easy to estimate the heat rate took away by the cooling air, and easy to obtain the temperature distribution of the stator at a steady-state. Using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) soft package embedded in Ansysreg software, the author gives the simulation of the problem, and some important conclusions are achieved as well
