Abstract
A system using structured light images to reconstruct trunk surfaces is presented. The details of image feature extraction and three-dimensional reconstruction are described. The accuracy, efficiency and reliability of the image algorithms are investigated. The system was tested using solid models and human subjects. The results show that it has the potential of becoming a useful clinical tool
