Abstract
Power system stability is divided into two main components, namely the transient stability involving short term dynamics and the voltage stability involving long term dynamics of power system. The two problems can be studied within a unified environment. The unified index of system stability can give a common measure of voltage stability and angle stability. Thus, the transient stability and the voltage stability can be considered in the corrective control scheme simultaneously. In this paper, the sensitivity analysis-based method is proposed to determine the corrective actions to improve the system transient stability and voltage stability
