Abstract :
Addresses the problem of controlling an uncertain nonlinear process. The algorithm, proposed in this paper, makes use of a self-organizing map to update and organize local Laguerre models, which predicts the behavior of the system. The design of the controller is based on these local models, avoiding in this way complex calculations. The control of a chemical reactor illustrates the application of the proposed approach
