Abstract

The purpose of this conference is to enable all researchers from universities and research institutions, managers and engineers in the microelectronics industry to discuss the current issues in microelectronics. The scope of the conference covers such major areas as solid state devices, process technology, integrated circuits, failure analysis, and semiconductor packaging. Fifty three contributed papers and one invited paper were selected for presentation in this conference. The technology which originates in the semiconductor industry shows great promise for the future. The application of microelectronics technology has become widespread in areas from consumer products to manufacturing. Research and development in this area is very important to support the semiconductor manufacturing activities in Malaysia.
