Abstract
A 3.1-10.6GHz 1.2V supply voltage low power consumption LNA for UWB systems is presented in this paper. The proposed LNA uses common-gate (CG) LNA to make good input matching to 50Ω without an extra input-matching network. A current-reused architecture is employed to decrease the power consumption. The proposed LNA is simulated with TSMC 0.18μm 1P6M CMOS process. The max gain is 14.25dB. The input reflection coefficient is below -9 dB. The output return loss (S22) is below -8.4 dB. The minimum NF is 3.27 dB. The power consumption with output buffer is 5.98mW from a 1.2V supply voltage, LNA core only consumes 4.34mW. The chip size including pads for further measurement is 0.905×1.14mm2.
