Abstract :
An algorithm appropriate to the analysis of errors expected of a system with multiple modes of operation is developed. Random mode-to-mode transitions are considered in terms of a continuous-time Markov process. An example is presented to demonstrate the application of the technique to the analysis of an aircraft radio navigation system with the capability to automatically switch from one station to another.
