  • Abstract
Numerous approaches for introducing and managing uncertainty in object-oriented databases or models have been proposed. The object model of the object data management group (ODMG) is used as the basis to systematically identify where, how, and what kinds of uncertainty can be and have been introduced. Several of the more recent fuzzy object-oriented models are examined and compared using the object model. From this review, various research issues requiring further investigation in order to establish a fuzzy object model are identified and discussed
