Abstract :
This paper describes a study on texture recognition based on two-dimensional linear prediction model. A new distance measure using the final prediction error is proposed. This distance measure is useful not only for micro-textures but also for macro-textures. Experimental results are given, which show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
