Abstract :
The measured load power of shearers was analyzed in this paper by the power spectrum and Lyapunov index, and it shows that the time series of load power is chaotic from the plot of the power spectrum and positive Lyapunov index. The paper also related load power curve with cutting resistance curve from the perspective of the chaos fractal after it obtained the attractor dimension of load power time series in application of the GP algorithm and CC algorithm, as well as the relationship between the dimension and the work done by motors. It applied chaos multi-step prediction model to predict the load power, which is useful for the constant power closed-loop control of shearer controllers. The research shows that the fractal chaos characteristics of the load have provided new methods for the shearer design and theoretical study.
