Abstract
This paper introduces the application of adaptive strategy based on model prediction for the stripe thickness in cold rolling. Without interfering the Automation Gauge Control (AGC) system, self-adaptive strategy of the strip thickness optimal controlled with the Forward-Slide model which is added in the internal model of AGC system. So as to effectively reduce errors of the stripe thickness, improves the precision of the AGC control system and guarantee the quality of the strip products in cold rolling.
