Abstract
We propose a novel method of induction motor speed control using a DSP (digital signal processing) chip, TMS 320 C25. In the proposed method speed control is achieved by means of rotor flux control. The TMS 320 C25 is used in digital current regulation of the induction motor. The complex control algorithm is coded in the assembly language of the DSP chip and very precise speed control can be achieved. Tests are carried out-on a 370 W induction motor and the parameters are simulated in a PC 486 system
