Abstract
CNM is a concept providing capabilities for service providers and their customers to exchange management information electronically. CNM services supply the customer of network services with the ability to manage those parts of the telecommunications infrastructure to which he has subscribed to. A CNM system for ATM networks could meet the increasing requirements for management facilities supporting the flexible and effective use of broadband telecommunications service and network resources. The easy and effective electronic interworking between private and public ATM networks could be promoted through the usage of CNM
