Abstract
The future of IT service providers is anchored in the quality of the services they provide to their clients. Due to the rapid development of new technologies and the ever-increasing level of competition among service providers, ways have to be found to manage services effectively and efficiently. This presentation will indicate how intelligent agent technology could be applied to implement service management policies. The characteristics of management policies and intelligent agents will be discussed and a number of examples will be provided to illustrate some of the ideas
