  • Abstract
Web-based solutions for monitoring and operating of technical processes may be characterized by a relatively short life time compared to automation applications. Thus, the GUI language XVCML has been developed to gain the continuance of visualization systems. XVCML provides generic graphical elements for modeling visualization solutions in a technology neutral way. However, conventional visualization systems offer additional functionality such as alarm handling or security aspects. The existing version of XVCML, though, does not yet support the required functionality for alarm management systems. Therefore this paper shows the design of such functional algorithmic following the concept of XVCML and presents first experiences.
