  • Abstract
Wound rotor induction machines with a variety of switching circuitry also connected to the rotor side are used in many applications. This is especially true in applications where the rotor power is considerable. This paper presents a modular approach for simulating such systems. Changes in the mode of operation due to switch changes are taken care of automatically. Shorting of the rotor terminals automatically simulates a stator-fed operation. The approach and algorithm presented here are validated by excellent agreement with the results of earlier research work
