Abstract :
The development process of ultrasonic ranging instrument based on DSP has been introduced. The integrated design block diagram, main schematic diagrams and software flowchart are illustrated. Finally, accuracy of results produced by the ultrasonic ranging instrument is verified and analyzed. The proposed ranging instrument has been added with the temperature compensation circuit, which calculates the acoustic speed under the actual temperature using the acoustic speed compensation equation. As a result, the instrument´s accuracy is further improved.
