Abstract
Concatenated coding schemes with bounded distance inner decoding, optimized erasing, and single-trial erasures-and-errors bounded distance outer decoding are considered. Expressions for the ratio between the guaranteed number of correctable channel errors and the (designed) Hamming distance of the concatenated code are presented in case either the inner code distance or the outer code distance goes to infinity
