Abstract :
This paper puts forward a precise algorithm aiming at improving the existing approximate algorithm for the inversion of soil permittivity based on the reflected GNSS signal. By researching the relationship between the soil permittivity and the distinct polarization component received from the reflected GNSS signal, we find a rule of correspondence between the two, which is a precise relationship without any mathematic approximation. When applied to the inversion of soil permittivity, the simulation results show that the new algorithm can improve the inversion accuracy and reduce the errors greatly.
