Abstract :
SPEED is a software environment that provides facilities for creating networks of programs on a single or multiple processors. A mouse-driven user interface is provided for creating and controlling these networks. Routines and utilities are included for the programmer to develop high-throughput communications among the processes. Program and data control parameters can be set by the user or initialized automatically. An example of speech processing using models of the human auditory system is given.
