Abstract
The application of a fuzzy algorithm for controlling the temperature and the rate of flow of water in a continuously-stirred tank heat exchanger system is discussed. The control is obtained by manipulating the pressure of the steam supplied to the heat exchanger, and if necessary, adjusting both the main flow of water to the exchanger as well as the secondary flow.
