Abstract :
In this paper, the performance of two CDMA mobile cells, as a function of the distance, D, between the moving cells, is derived, taking into account the inherent power control error. The result can be easily extended to multiple nonoverlapping moving cells. Three reasonable distribution models of the mobile units are presented, one of which leads to a simple closed-form expression for the performance. It is found that the performance is a function of only the ratio of the distance, D, and cell radius, R, not D or R individually. Also, a closed-form upper-bound on the error probability is given and found to be numerically tight.
