Abstract :
The massive data and complex information sources made it extremely difficult for agricultural geographical information system to be developed. By adopting XML to collect the multiple and complicated information sources, an urban modern agricultural geographical information system based on J2EE technology was put forward. This system is targeted for the government administrative department, production base, companies, cooperative association and farmers, setting up a decision support system, where inquiry, analysis and countermeasures are made. The applications of WebGIS, ajax, flex, dhtmlx, spring technology were also discussed. We analyzed the requirement of the urban modern agricultural geographical information system; we designed the architecture for this system, the database and the modules for detailed functions using iServer Java technology. We also implemented a centralized data management, a common geographical information system and decision-making support functions; this system fulfilled the functions of data collection, data processing, data storage, data maintenance, statistical analysis, map browse, inquiry and retrieval, decision-making analysis.
