Abstract :
Tissue harmonic imaging (THI) can get fine images, and by adopting pulse compression technique (PCT) to it, imaging with high signal-to-noise ratio can be realized. Preliminarily, we had proposed an inline transmitter/receiver system using THI and PCT for intravascular ultrasound imaging (IVUS), and examined the feasibility of the proposed system. In this study, we examined the suitable thickness of the PVDF film as not only a matching layer but also a receiver for harmonic components.
