Abstract :
This paper analyzed the principal problems of forest pest and disease prevention in cultivating rapid-growing and high-yield forest. As the farmers and technicians lack expert guidance in preventing forest pests and diseases and the deficiency of consultant experts on the ground floor, a new consulting service system platform with multi-functions integrating forest pests forecasting, diagnosis, prevention and control were constructed. It is based on B/S structure by using J2EE-based open source framework. With the platform the users can get the explicit instructions from Internet Explorer. The platform not only provides effective scientific advice and technical supports for large number of foresters and forest corporations, but also reduces reforestation risks and enlarges forest productivity. Moreover, the platform can also be used for training and educational purposes.
