Abstract :
To eliminate the early failures and improve the reliability of flexible manufacturing system (FMS), the model of eliminating early failures for FMS is proposed in this paper. Firstly, Weibull two-fold mixture model is chose to establish the bathtub curve model of FMS, and division between early failure phase and normal operation phase is identified. Secondly, the formation of early failures and mechanism of early failures elimination are studied, and an integrated model of eliminating early failures for FMS is established, with some specific process and implementation of reliability design and analysis layer, reliability test layer and early failures elimination layer. Finally, an example of key function unit in FMS is shown to illustrate the applicability and validity of the model.
