Abstract

With the development of technology, three dimensional GIS has been used in many fields. Virtual Campus is one of good applications. Shanxi Normal University was taken as the example, using SketchUp and ArcGIS in order to establish three-dimensional virtual campus, study the methods of building DEM models, 3D landscape modes and image processing. The user can view 3D-scene and make some basic spatial analysis. It will be played an important role in development planning, scientific management and the school outside image.
