Abstract :
Conditions are derived for strictly nonblocking and rearrangeably nonblocking multiconnection networks for a general (q1, q2) connection assignment. As a case study, a practical switch is modeled and conditions are derived for nonblocking and rearrangeably nonblocking switch for a special type of multicast known as fast facility protection (FFP). Results are compared of previously derived blocking probability equations and our simulations
