Abstract :
Accurate estimation of the burn area plays a crucial role in clinic work. This article presented the framwork of the system for evaluation of the body surface burn area by using KinectFusion for 3D reconstruction. And the feature region extraction and area computation method for 3D model were designed. A carton was tested and two simulations were conducted on a real person. The measured data from the 3D model were compared with the actual ones from the physical space. The experiments and the results have exhibited the reliability of the data and feasibility of the application. The system can be applied into practical operation.
