Abstract :
For now the image text algorithm is widespread positioning accuracy text is not high, this paper proposes the use of positioning text area variance projection algorithm, the original image using Canny operator based on the maximum gradient algorithm to detect text edges; re-use of text-rich edge information, using the variance projection locating the text area. Tests show that the algorithm has a high positioning accuracy.
