Abstract :
This article briefly introduces the construction of parabolic solar trough concentrator and the tracking modes, and the optimization of the north-south tilt tracking mode used for this condenser in practical applications has been studied. According to the solar radiation theory and Hottel Model, solar radiation of the concentrator adopting the north-south tilt tracking mode has been calculated in different tilt angles by using numerical stochastic algorithm. Optimum tilt angles for parabolic solar trough concentrator which utilizes this tracking mode have been got from the annual direct sun radiation in Shanghai, Beijing, Haikou, Hohhot, and Lhasa.
