Abstract :
With the continuous development and promotion of Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems (CIMS), the connection between collaborative design and workflow technology becomes more and tight, collaborative design, adapting workflow management technology, can reduce the human factors of the business process to improve the efficiency of coordination and control among activities, and to achieve maximizing the efficiency of products´ collaborative design process. This paper introduces the theory of collaborative design and workflow technology, analyzes the effect of collaborative design management systems, which use workflow management system to solve the control problems of collaborative design management process. On the basis of analysis of the demand for collaborative design system, a model of collaborative design based on workflow reconfiguration is proposed.
