Abstract :
Strian measurement is an important issue in the mechanics of materials. In order to develop high-precision measurement system of video extensometer, a measuring model of single-camera measuring object on a fixed plane is established . Based on this model, lens distortion can be corrected by camera calibration and the transformation relationship from the spatial location of object to pixel coordinates in the image can be obtained. Then with the help of image processing technologies, the measurement function of the system is realized. In addition, theoretical analysis and simulation experiments demonstrate the feasibility of single-camera measuring fixed plane as well as the measurement accuracy.
