An Implementation Strategy of Global OLTP Based on ODS in Heterogeneous Environment

Many years of information progress makes organization or institute has different kinds of OLTP systems which are running under heterogeneous environment. And these OLTP systems accumulate lots of historical data. In order to provide effective global information for decision makers, global OLTP plays a crucial role. But, traditional method demands spending expensive to integrate the data in distributed databases, or making special programs to implement global OLTP. It is complex and reusability lower. So, an implementation strategy of global OLTP based on ODS system in heterogeneous environment is proposed in this paper. The principle of Logging, XML technology and trigger of DBMS are applied in it. And it ensures the consistence of global data effectively. This strategy has been applied in practice and perfect purpose has been obtained.
