Abstract :
This paper studies how effectively apply the Geographic Information System (GIS) to the Chinese city property management, in order to research and develop the real estate management information system and help government conduct management. Based on ArcGIS9.3 systems and databases lightweight embedded workflow engine, applying multi-layered architecture mixed of B/S and C/S, unifies housing business data, property GIS data, property mapping data, file scanned images and other data on the same database platform, which is capable of conducting a number of urban housing management including GIS information housing property, transactions and maintenance. The system has been tested in Xi´an, China with good effect.
