Abstract
The subject area of engineering ethics is shaped rather differently, depending on the various standpoints. It reaches from descriptively analysing the behaviour of engineers with respect to moral criteria up to normative questions in what way engineers could design more “sustainable” technology. In this paper an approach is presented which allows to transparently derive the scope and relevant interfaces of engineering ethics as an attempt to structure the ongoing discussion and to allow further research
