Abstract :
Satellites network will be part of the next generation communication networks infrastructures with the development of the satellites technology. The characteristics of satellites network and their negative effects on the design, research and maintenance of satellites network protocol are discussed. Component-based techniques are put forward to solve these negative effects for the satellites network protocols design, and then, a satellites networks protocol component model is designed based on the Component-based techniques. The service functions of the crucial components are designed in the end. The satellites networks protocol component model can facilitate the design and development of satellite network protocols, improve the flexibility and reusability of protocol, and fulfill the application needs of the satellites network.
