Abstract :
We focus on {0, 1}-matrices of size 8×8 and provide a unified method to construct all {0, 1}-matrices of size 8×8 whose branch numbers are 5. And using the constructed results, we can find that the total Hamming weight of them varies from 33 to 44. While the type of total Hamming weight 44 has been used in cipher E2 and Camellia, we can use the other types in designing linear transformation of an SPN cipher.
