  • Abstract
    This paper study the effect of a new kind of covering material on soil of Chinese pine plantation in river beach. The result indicates Eco-mat can decrease the soil temperature in the top 15 cm layer during the investigative time, and the surface soil temperature change significantly and decrease 10.3-13.8°C than without Eco-mat, the daily temperature difference of different deep soil under the munching always is lower than without Eco-mat, The soil water content of 0-20 cm under munching is over 44.3 % significantly than without Eco-mat. However, soil water content of below 40 cm layer is no great changes with or without Eco-mat, Weed growth can be controlled after paving Eco-mat, the height, biomass, abundant of weed are all less than without Eco-mat. The weed species under the munching decrease 40 % and the weed biomass under the munching decrease 99 %.
