Abstract :
In this paper, fuzzy logic control of a pH neutralization process is attempted. The pH neutralization process is a classic example of a highly nonlinear system. For nonlinear systems, fuzzy logic control provides a better alternative to the classical proportional plus integral (PI) controller. Both the controllers namely the PI controller and fuzzy logic controller (FLC) are designed for a simulated pH neutralization process. It is shown that the FLC is able to control the pH neutralization process better. The simulation is performed in the MATLAB environment using Simulink and Fuzzy Logic Toolbox.
