Abstract :
HTTP Streaming is a prevalent multimedia streaming service over TCP/HTTP. Its quality is mainly determined by the efficiency of TCP. In this paper, we propose an improved TCP congestion control algorithm named TCP-MW for HTTP Streaming in wireless environments with high packet loss rate. Our experiment results show a significant performance improvement and a good fairness feature for TCP-MW.
