Abstract :
In this paper an application of multiscale edge detection using octave-band all-pass based IIR filter banks is described. The computational complexity is shown to be considerably less than that of existing structures. Also the transition band is narrow in the IIR case. The edge detection results obtained by computer simulation are presented
