Abstract
The purpose of the paper is to describe the system SYLT (synthesis using integer linear programming techniques) for design space exploration for flexible, programmable heterogeneous multiprocessor architectures. In contrast to comparable attempts, the synthesis system is dedicated to DSP applications and takes into account computation, communication and memory constraints. Models, methods and application are explained in detail by means of a comprehensive case study
