Abstract
This paper treats error spectrum shaping in 2-D state-space digital filters. A technique is developed for reducing roundoff noise by means of N-order diagonal error feedback consisting of a FIR digital filter. The reduction of roundoff noise is carried out by minimizing a quadratic form. The optimal solution is then obtained analytically in a closed form. A numerical example is also given to illustrate the utility of the proposed technique
