Research on the formation mechanism of the risk of insufficiency knowledge sharing among partners in knowledge alliance

In this paper we apply Bertrand model to analysis the process, strategies and outcomes of knowledge sharing between competitive enterprises in the same industry. We argue that when no risk controlling measures were taken by the members of alliance, there exists opportunism actions between the alliance partners, both sides want to increase outcomes by reducing knowledge quantity and even providing false information and this leads to the risk of insufficiency of knowledge sharing in alliance.
