  • Abstract
    The paper analyzes M-ary modulation schemes of time hopping ultra-wideband (TH-UWB) system. Based on the performance analysis of the two conventional multiple modulation schemes TH PPM and TH PAM, a combined modulation scheme (TH OPPM-BPSM) is analyzed. By introducing the modified Hermite polynomial (MHP) orthogonal pulses, three transmission schemes are analyzed through computer simulations under additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel with mutipath effect. From the simulation results, it can be seen that the TH OPPM-BPSM system performance is similar to the TH PPM system, and better than the TH PAM system.
