Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to investigate the possibility of applying digital games to improve students´ reasoning ability. According to the review of literature, we created a connection between digital games with children´s reasoning cognition. To verify this hypothetical assumption, a 5 weeks pilot study was implemented. Ten fifth graders were participated in this study. Through pre- and post-tests, observations and open-ending interviews, the effect of digital games on learning is presented, and research findings are reported. The results from this pilot study provided experimental evidence to support the use of digital games can assist students´ reasoning ability.
