  • Abstract
During the implementation of estimating signal direction of arrive using 2D MUSIC algorithm, the space spectrum peak values searching costs a majority of run time. Thus it is very harmful for real-time multi-target tracking. An accurate real-time spectrum peak values searching algorithm is proposed, which is suitable for engineer implementation. Through the analysis of practical space spectrum image, we can use its special characteristics to solve this searching problem by data cluster and multi-scale searching. Computer simulations and DSP implementations both validate that the algorithm of this paper not only obtains acceptable accurate direction estimation, but also greatly reduces the runtime of searching process compared with the former MUSIC spectrum peaks search algorithm.
