Abstract
This paper presents the application of fuzzy logic to the control system for industrial heat treatment furnaces. A modified fuzzy decision support system has been developed to control the temperature in an industrial nitriding furnace. The results obtained using the fuzzy logic controller are very good. The system is fully automatic and maintains a very stable temperature control
